10 things you need to know about mobile

The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) has unveiled a list of key features about mobile advertising designed to educate advertisers about the power of the medium.

Wednesday, 27 May 2009

"10 things you absolutely have to know about mobile advertising right now!" was put together by members of the IAB's mobile council and sits within the newly launched mobile advertising section of the IAB website.

Council members representing the mobile operators, media owners and agencies alike had input into the project.

Anyone can use the PDF on their own blogs or company websites. To access the PDF version, click here.

The news follows the recent launch of the IAB's Mobile Handbook and the release of the IAB's landmark mobile adspend research carried out in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Discussing the guidelines, Jon Mew, head of mobile at the IAB, comments: "These 10 points show that mobile advertising is in a great place, not only in terms of technology and innovation, but also because the mobile internet audience is growing all the time.

"The IAB is dedicated to educating the market about consumer behaviour and advertising trends in the simplest, most digestible way possible, and our mobile council will be collaborating on a series of initiatives over the coming months to do just that."
