BCUK is a small charity with a very limited budget. They cannot afford traditional advertising, so for Bowel Cancer Awareness month we are focusing efforts on London, using unusual and original media – as press coverage will extend beyond the M25. If caught early, Bowel Cancer is curable but too often people say nothing even when they have symptoms, so diagnosis is made too late. So the campaign aims to make people (especially men) feel comfortable talking about their bottoms! We’re using radio in innovative way, posters on vans, public toilets and washrooms, social networking, SMS and trains.
