‘Foster’s new in-can bubble destroying widget’ by Play

Set inside Foster’s cans, Play developed an internet enabled scuba diving installation. Competing for a trip to Australia users were invited to destroy bubbles of their own by remote controlling the real Scuba in real time.

Full members


Policy Steering Group (PSG)- Band A

  • Policy Steering Group consists of leading internet companies including service providers and portals. PSG are the board of the IAB and have the biggest say on the IAB constitution,key staffing, research and direction of the organisation through proportional voting rights.
  • Current PSG members are: AOL, MSN, Yahoo & Orange.
  • PSG meets once a month.
  • Criteria and cost:0.375% of net online revenues with a floor level of £147,000.

Leadership Council- Band B&C

  • Leadership Council have input and voting rights on the running of the IAB and shaping the policies.
  • Leadership Council consists of a variety of internet companies including service providers, sales networks, portals and media companies.
  • Leadership Council meets every 6 weeks.
  • Critera and cost: 0.375% of net online revenues with a ceiling level 50% of PSG and a floor level of £33,990.

Advertisers

  • Manufacturers and service companies with a turnover of more than £50million who advertise online.
  • Free membership by invitation.

Full members- Band D&E

  • Full members have less input on the running of the IAB but full access to working groups
  • research and events.
  • They are medium to large companies with growing online revenues through the sale of online advertising.
  • Criteria and cost: Companies with net online revenues greater than £250K pay 0.375% of net online revenues with a ceiling level 75% of Leadership Council at £25,492.

Full members- Band F

  • Full members who are typically new and up & coming internet companies and established offline companies beginning to generate online revenue through the sale of online advertising.
  • Please note that marketing agencies generally do not fit into this category.
  • Criteria and cost: If net online revenues are under £250K per calendar year a flat fee is charged of £550.

Associate members


Associate members are companies, organisations and agencies who don’t generate revenue from online advertising but who are integral to the development of the internet industry.

  • Band K: Turnover below £500k- pay £550
  • Band L: Turnover between £500k and £1m - pay £1,100.
  • Band M: Turnover between £1 and 2m - pay £1,650.
  • Band N: Turnover between £2 and 3m- pay £2,200.
  • Band P: Turnover over £3m- pay £3,300
