Social Media Council

The Buzz on user generated content and social media image

This report will not only provide you with the background and context for UGC's various executions, but it will also identify the latest news stories, the key players, main developments and examples of where brands have embraced the phenomenon to varying degrees of success.
The last few years have been fundamental in the growth of social media as it has moved centre stage, driven by consumer adoption. As such, the IAB has been working with social media networks throughout 2007 to help establish its standpoint on the medium going forward.

Of course, this is a topic that is relevant to all of our Councils and has been a regular item on all of their agendas. In 2008, on top of its continued place on the existing working groups, a taskforce will be set up for social media networks to address common issues.
