The IAB Video Council consists of senior experts in online video advertising from companies across the full value chain and is chaired by Robert Black of UTarget.FOX. Throughout 2008, the UK online video audience grew 34% to reach 80% of internet users (comScore). At the same time, video publishers have increased the amount of quality, engaging content on their websites. This new channel, merging the best of TV and online, presents a huge opportunity for marketers to engage with their audiences in entirely new ways.
Through the IAB Video Council, broadcasters, major online publishers, tech providers, creative and planning agencies have come together for the first time in the UK to produce definitions, guidance, research and casestudies around all available forms of video advertising. The first project is our
Online Video Marketing Guide which marks the maturity of online video as a serious channel for marketers with full guidance on how to choose the right format, how to build creative and how to judge success correctly.
