Affiliate Marketing Council launches website

31/08/2010

The IAB has launched a dedicated website for its Affiliate Marketing Council (AMC) aimed at making the council more transparent and encouraging interaction with the wider industry. The site will also act as a hub for all best practice and educational material.

As part of the council's move to further promote the work of the industry, the site is aimed at all marketers who are looking for best practice advice and guidance. Council members will be able to take advantage of the site as a perfect place for affiliates, agencies and merchants to showcase their work.

Kevin Edwards, chair of the AMC, said: “Up until now the IAB has featured news about affiliate marketing on their site but I wanted to create something that was open to the whole affiliate industry as well as up to date with all the latest from the Council.

"I know people are frustrated by how the Council has been centred on London and is not readily accessible to plenty of people who would like to contribute. Hopefully this opens up the opportunity for people to raise issues they’d like share at the Council meetings as well as provide ongoing feedback.”

Dan Redfearn, head of the AMC, agrees: “By allowing more visibility of the council and its work we hope to increase the knowledge and understanding of the industry and offer a central resource for practitioners to showcase the fantastic work and results of this dynamic and entrepreneurial industry.”

The AMC is made up of over 20 companies representing the whole value chain of affiliate marketing including networks, agencies, publishers and merchants. Founded in 2006 the council promotes industry wide best practice, develops educational resources and showcases the industry’s work.
