The APA, the representative body for the customer publishing industry, and the IAB, the trade association for online marketing, have announced a knowledge partnership to help their members to stay at the forefront of digital innovation.
The partnership will see IAB support the APA’s digital training programme, which consists of six half-day workshops to support digital adoption and growth of APA member agencies. Each workshop will be based on a core digital skills requirement, ranging from introductory training for those new to digital media to digital video production, web editorial skills and using Google analytics.
The APA Online Measurement and Google Analytics workshop will be the first of these events, which will be held at the IAB on Thursday 9th July. The session will be led by Russell Sutton, managing director of ConversionWorks, and will look at measuring the effectiveness of online content and websites for clients. The non-technical event is open to digital planners, managers, heads of digital, content managers and website managers.
Amanda Davie, head of digital for APA comments: “The digital training programme is integral to our strategy for APA digital in offering practical skills and insight into developing digital solutions. This partnership provides a powerful platform for knowledge sharing and we are very much looking forward to the seeing the results of our series of workshops.”
Kieron Matthews, marketing director at the IAB adds: “In a digital world, it is essential to learn new skills and sharpen the ones you have. We are delighted to be working with the APA in this new industry initiative.”
