Facebook has introduced a new 'listen with' feature to the site, allowing users to enjoy the same song at the same time via the social network.
Songs that are being listened to on third-party sites, such as Spotify, will appear in a chat sidebar with a music note, which users can click to listen to the song from the same point as their friend.
They will also be able to discuss the music being listened to without leaving the social network, while people can also control which of their friends sees the music they are listening to.
A Facebook post stated: "You can control privacy settings in music apps when you install the app or on your app settings page after you've installed the app.
"You can also remove songs you listened to from your timeline on your private activity log."
This feature will be rolled out across Facebook from today (January 16th).
Users of the social network are already able to listen to songs from online streaming service Spotify without leaving the site.
Spotify recently launched its own app platform, giving consumers the opportunity to buy concert tickets and find new bands for example, in the hope of improving customer experience.
