Facebook has been voted the best company in the world to work for, joined by many other technology firms in the top 20 employers.
The social giant that employs 4,619 people beat its big rival Google, which came in sixth in the survey carried out by Glassdoor. The conclusion was based upon anonymous reviews submitted by employees that are then used to pull together the annual Employees' Choice Awards.
Facebook rose up from third last year, with such job perks as an annual video game day and a $4,000 (£2,500) spending bonus for each employee that becomes a new parent helping it reach the top.
"The atmosphere is amazing. Everyone pulling together to help the company achieve goals we all believe in, while being incredibly open, down-to-earth and helpful about it," one contributor said of the firm.
Other technology companies in the top 20 include LinkedIn, Riverbed, Gartner and National Instruments.
