About 175 million web users log into Facebook every day, the social networking website revealed at the recent World Economic Forum.

Speaking to TechCrunch, Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook, said that half of the site's 350 million registered users log into the social network on a daily basis, not including Facebook Connect logins.
"We are really excited that even at such big numbers, our growth is continuing and so continuing to be so strong," she remarked.
She went on to explain that the last year has seen Facebook's ad platform transform itself from an experimental project into something that is "going big".
The company's ads allow brands to add social actions such as polls and surveys to them to encourage users to interact with their promotions.
"Advertising which lets you express who you are and then engage in an authentic way is so important," Sandberg commented.
However, she added that Facebook should move faster when it comes to rolling out new products and services.
Recent figures from comScore showed that Facebook saw 469 million unique visitors in December 2009, up by 31 million compared with November and up 250 million compared with the beginning of the year.
It is currently the fourth most visited website in the world behind Google, Microsoft and Yahoo!, says Erick Schonfeld of TechCrunch, who also predicts that Facebook could take third place in the rankings within the next 12 months.
