A number of television shows will be available for people to view for free thanks to a new streaming video player to be launched in August.

The new MSN Video Player is set to go live next week and will make some 300 shows available to internet users.
An extension of the existing MSN Video application, the streaming video service will be trialled using Windows Media Video and Flash formats, the BBC reports.
Programmes such as Peep Show and Shameless will be available to people with a UK web address, as well as material from BBC Worldwide and ALL3MEDIA.
Commenting on the usefulness of the service, Simon Danker, director of digital content partnerships for BBC Worldwide, said: "Exploring what works for people in the rapidly expanding on-demand space is important for us.
"The MSN Video Player presents a new avenue for us to reach online audiences."
BBC's iPlayer recently began offering high definition video streams and downloads for some of its programmes, including Doctor Who and Dragon's Den.
Earlier this month, it emerged that Microsoft plans to shut down its MSN Soapbox service - a video-sharing service similar to Google's YouTube - at the end of August.
The software giant confirmed the move in an email response to AFP, stating that the last date the service will be offered is August 31st. Users have until this date to download the videos they wish to keep once it expires.
