MySpace will let users' synchronise their updates with Facebook in a drive to integrate the social networking sites.

On August 30th, the social networking site announced that its users, primarily musicians and celebrities, will now be able to share content such as videos, links, music and photos with their friends on Facebook.

The website stated: "The opportunities to experience and share this type of entertainment content are endless. This is particularly exciting for artists who can now use this tool as a complement to their MySpace Music presence."

When users update their status on MySpace it will be shared with their Facebook friends. It is hoped that Sync with Facebook will make it easier for consumers to share content across the web.

MySpace users can also sync to Twitter, where real-time comments and observations can be posted.

The social networking website recently extended its search advertising contract with Google by one month as it tries to secure a new agreement.
