Latest findings from market research firm Research and Markets has predicted that internet advertising spend is set to rise significantly in the next year, backing up the findings of the
IAB/PwC Online Adspend Study H1 2008.
Research and Markets found that internet advertising grew faster than any other medium in 2007 and argues that the medium is likely to grow by 31.4 per cent, with further steady increases over the next four years.
The market research firm also found that internet usage is growing significantly, with 93 per cent of those who have gone online over last 12 months now able to do so at home.
The research also shows that more than half of consumers consider online advertising to be more attractive if music or animation is included, while 28 per cent of respondents said they had clicked on internet adverts.
