The Labour party is aiming to use social networking websites to connect with voters as it steps up its digital marketing strategies.

Over the last few days, a number of e-marketing roles within the party have been advertised.
Marketing magazine reports that Labour's focus on this area highlights the importance of portraying brands in the right way in the run up to next year's election.
The position of online communities organiser, which involves taking responsibility for content that appears on social networking website Facebook and microblogging portal Twitter, is being created in response to the Conservatives placing Craig Elder in a similar role.
A digital marketing coordinator, who will manage email marketing data analysis, is also on Labour's wanted list.
Earlier this week, prime minister Gordon Brown highlighted the importance of the internet in reducing the Budget deficit.
In a speech in London on Monday, ahead of today's (December 9th) pre-Budget report, Mr Brown revealed that many services will soon only be offered online.
"As a result of the work of [the government's champion for digital inclusion] Martha Lane Fox, our aim is, within the next five years, to shift the great majority of our large transactional services to become online only," he explained.
