2008 Online Adspend Full Year Results

These are the IAB’s online advertising spend figures showing details for the full year 2008.The online industry continues to enjoy rapid growth.

This tracking study, dating back to 1997, represents the official industry figures and acts as the barometer for the health of the market.

  • Online adspend during 2008 reached £3,349.7m
  • Spending on internet advertising grew by 17% (on a like for like basis) when compared with 2007
  • Online’s share has grown to 19.2% for 2008, 15.5% for 2007
