These are the IAB’s online advertising spend figures showing details for the first half of the year in 2009.The online industry continued to show growth in a very tough market place.
This tracking study, dating back to 1997, represents the official industry figures and acts as the barometer for the health of the market.

- Spending on internet advertising grew by 4.6% (on a like for like basis) when compared with H1 2008
- Online’s share has grown to 23.4% for H1 2009, 18.7% for H1 2007 making online the UK's single biggest advertising medium)
