IAB Engage 2016 took place on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 October.

The consumer is in control. The internet has fundamentally changed modern-life- the devices in people's pockets offer an unprecedented level of power and choice, not just in the media we consume, but in almost every aspect of daily life. Digital media has empowered us in every purchase decision we make, every app we choose to have on our screen, and every brand we interact with online.

With such limitless choice, both publishers and advertisers need to work harder than ever before to make sure they remain relevant to today’s consumer. The IAB’s twelfth annual Engage explored the balance of power and choice online, and how advertisers can adapt their strategies to make the most of the amazing opportunity digital marketing offers brands to reach and wow their customers.
