The campaign was created to celebrate Foster's famous ‘No Worries’ attitude. In creating the campaign, Play searched for some of Britain’s most, and least, ‘No worries’ people, celebrities and places. More on Play's award winning campaign.

Online 2021 Videos; is this the future of internet marketing?

Jump into the IAB branded De Lorean, fasten your seat belts and get ready to join our very own Guy Phillipson and chums in the year 2021 to celebrate 30 years of online.

Monday, 7 January 2008

As our bodies recover from the Christmas feasts, battles at Uno, petty family squabbles and the dreary TV schedule. We have decided to unleash our long awaited videos that appeared at IAB Engage 2007 to soothe those New Year blues with some unadulterated visual pleasure.

For those of you unable to attend, our third annual conference, IAB Engage 2007, was a highlight of last year. With a record number of people at an IAB event in attendance, it seemed appropriate to give our delegates a little bit extra. In line with the conference theme we took the audience quite literally 'one step beyond' by providing them with a glimpse of the future. We created 5 videos set in an imagined 2021 - 30 years on from Tim Berners-Lee making the World Wide Web publicly available.

The videos celebrate the internet and how far it has come; the mass convergence of internet technologies, the introduction of internet advertising as an intelligent and savvy way for consumers to interact with brands, the role search played in the development of online and ultimately the boom in social media that has made Facebook everyone’s favourite pal.

To discuss these matters we gathered an eclectic range of elite from online, some real and some not so. Guy Phillipson (CEO, IAB), Richard Eyre (Chairman, IAB), Daniel Addison (media planner bigwig), Mervin Carmichael (veteran newsreader), and Sebastian Stanton (media agency tycoon). We also sought the opinions of those not directly connected to internet advertising; Alicia Jancovitz (Behavioural psychologist), Peter (21st century digi-weirdo) and Jane (office worker).

WARNING: THE FUTURE YOU ARE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE MAY DIFFER FROM WHAT WILL ACTUALLY HAPPEN
